Our company, founded in Forssa in 2004, specializes in the treatment and recycling of municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) bottom ash, contaminated materials, and hazardous waste.
In 2017, our turnover was €10,9 million and we have 14 permanent employees.
Our offices are located in Forssa, Espoo, and Lahti. We treat contaminated materials and hazardous waste in LHJ Group's waste treatment centre at Kiimassuo in Forssa. We recover municiMSWI bottom ash on our customers' own premises. Over the next few years, we aim to expand our operations in Finland and in the international markets in Sweden and other Nordic countries.
In the treatment of MSWI bottom ash, we serve waste incineration plants using grate design for combustion. In the treatment of contaminated materials and hazardous waste, some of our largest customers are cities, construction and demolition companies, and waste management companies.
We provide our customers with the newest environmental technologies and methods of the field. Several responsible solutions are available. Due to our long-term co-operation, our customers are able to estimate their waste treatment costs well in advance.
Together we promote the targets of circular economy in waste treatment on both national and international level.
Networking is an important aspect in our operations. We work in close co-operation with the other companies of LHJ Group, and we actively utilize the expertise of our own specialists and co-operation partners worldwide. We use, for example, external planning and analysis services.
We believe that we do not have to do everything by ourselves. We always want to join forces with the top specialists outside our organisation. In developing environmental technologies, we utilize our wide international networks, such as our co-operation with the most advanced company for the treatment of MSWI bottom ash, Inashco B. V.
Responsible operation requires constant development. Therefore, we do not settle for easy, readily available solutions. Research, development projects, and bold ideas ensure that challenging waste materials will be treated in an environmentally friendly manner for both people and the environment, in the future as well.
Our operations in Kiimassuo waste treatment centre are covered by the environmental permit of Loimi-Hämeen Jätehuolto Oy. We follow the international ISO 14001 Environmental Standard and the ISO 9001 Quality System. We monitor the environment as required by law, but we want to take some extra precautions as well. In addition, we have our own monitoring system that we continuously develop further.
Occupational safety is under constant monitoring and development. For example, we monitor the working conditions of our employees and the safety of our equipment. Our MSWI bottom ash treatment installation is CE marked.
Our safety observations are discussed in the occupational safety committee meetings of LHJ Group. In addition to the statutory measurements, we arrange our own measurements in our occupational health services. We actively take care of the physical and emotional well-being of our employees and, consequently, the number of absences is very small.
